ISO 2009:2015 Approval
Abtech's quality management system is now accredited to the latest ISO 2009:2015 standard. ISO standards are reviewed every five years and updated if required. The 2015 version replaces 2008.
ISO 9001:2015 has a new structure and now follows the same overall structure as other ISO management system standards.
A major difference is a focus on risk-based thinking. While this has always been part of the standard, the new version gives it increased prominence. The aim is to establish a systematic approach to risk, rather than treating it as a single component of a quality management system.
This process challenges businesses to carry our analysis of internal and external issues facing the business, ultimately to develop a more aware and customer focues organisation.
